Mutual funds (MFs) bought shares worth a net Rs 244.90 crore on Thursday, 22 May 2014, compared with net outflow of Rs 265.10 crore on Wednesday, 21 May 2014.
The net inflow of Rs 244.90 crore on Thursday, 22 May 2014, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 1179.30 crore and gross sales of Rs 934.40 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had garnered 76.38 points or 0.31% to settle at 24,374.40 on that day, its highest closing level since 20 May 2014.
Mutual funds have sold shares worth a net Rs 1199.60 crore in this month so far (till 22 May 2014).
